A Look At The New Geek-Out Worthy HP Envy x360

I have to admit I’ve been rather drooling over the newly released HP Envy x360 laptops since they first came across my radar. The laptop is a 2-in-1 devices that can transfer from a laptop to a tablet in seconds! Not to mention, they’re touch-screen and they also come with Windows Ink capabilities – meaning you can write on your screen with your stylus. Options people. I love having options. It’s the perfect laptop for home, work or travel.

So there is a number of cool features worth highlighting here.

Windows 10 operating system
You’ve got the Windows 10 operating system, but the start menu from Windows 7. So much yes. This is so much more user-friendly to me – and that paired with the new features like the Edge Web browser (which lets you markup Web pages on your screen) – it’s like you have all the perks of Windows machines you loved – but the benefits of lots of new features.

For those of you that just held on to Microsoft explorer until the end, this browser is Microsoft’s replacement – it’s so much more user-friendly, less bloated, and more secure than its predecessor. Two thumbs up.

Built for Windows Ink
One of my favorite features of this laptop is Windows Ink – sometimes jotting down notes is more convenient than typing. It’s a great option to have when you’re in meetings or traveling as I’ve still not mastered typing on a plane… not enough elbow room, am I right?

Full HD touch screen
The color and clarity are simply stunning with this 1920 x 1080 resolution – it’s also got an enegry-efficent WLED backlight which will make life just a little bit easier on your battery.

8GB system memory for advanced multitasking
RAM and CPU power are major selling points for me. The more RAM the merrier. You can never have too much RAM. Any given day, I have Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and iMovie all going at the same time working on various projects. It’s hard on my computer. If you’re a multitasker, you know exactly what I’m talking about and you appreciate it. The only way you’re going to be able to hop between those programs (and also web browse) is if you have enough RAM.

On top of that – this laptop also has an AMD processor – which means it’s fast – and thin. No more bulky laptop bags!

360° flip-and-fold design
Offers versatile functionality with laptop, audience, tabletop, presentation and tablet modes.

Another design detail that makes the HP Envy so user-friendly. I love all the ways and situations in which it can used. It fits your lifestyle, and it’s pretty cool to have a laptop that will do that!
