Peter Jackson Talks About Directing ‘The Hobbit’

Yesterday, Peter Jackson’s manager Ken Kamins said that with Guillermo Del Toro’s exit, Jackson would not be directing ‘The Hobbit’. Jackson himself had the following to say on the possibility of taking the director’s chair, “If that’s what I have to do to protect Warner Bros’ investment, then obviously that’s one angle which I’ll explore.”

But that isn’t as easy as it sounds. Jackson has contracts to direct two other films, with one likely starting next year. He continued on, stating, “The other studios may not let me out of the contracts.”
