Sam Raimi May Direct ‘Wizard of Oz’ Prequel

According to a report, Sam Raimi has been offered the chance to direct ‘Oz The Great And Powerful’, the ‘Wizard of Oz’ prequel. Raimi is currently signed on to direct a ‘World of Warcraft’ movie for Legendary pictures, and it is currrently not known if he will delay that film to direct ‘Oz’. Disney is putting the film at the top of its priority list and wants to start filming later this year.
