Joss Whedon to Direct ‘The Avengers’

At Comic-Con Joss Whedon officially confirmed that he would be directing ‘The Avengers’.

When asked what he would be doing with the movie, he said “It is a little early for that.” He did confirm that he is currently at work on an outline for the film and that he is looking forward to directing the film and exploring the “family aspect” of the team.

“This [team-up] is counter-intuitive, these people shouldn’t be on the same team,” Whedon said, which is why he wanted to make the film.
