This Synopsis For ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Reminds Us That The Avengers Are ‘In Ruins’
If you look at the phone of any Marvel fan right now, odds are, you’ll see a countdown to Avengers: Endgame on some type of app, they’ll have the date saved in their calendar, and there will be a few movie ticketing apps just waiting to be opened on the morning when tickets for the film finally go on sale.
Well…that’s what you’d find if you were looking at our phones, and we assume we’re not the only ones, especially now that the official trailer has been released.
For weeks now, there have been a few possible Endgame synopses floating around the internet, some that packed a bit more information than others. We weren’t sure which would be ‘official’, but it seems that the following content has been seen on Atom Tickets, and we’re keeping a close eye to see if it sticks, or if more info is revealed within the next few days.
For now, this is what we’ve got, and it’s just enough to grab our interest and keep us guessing.
While we aren’t surprised at the content of the synopsis, or the lack thereof, it does give us that eerie skin crawling/we’re totally going to spend 3 hours in the theater crying type of feeling.
That rings especially true now that we’ve seen the trailer. The empty looks in the eyes of our heroes…it’s more than we can take.
Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.
Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, and we recommend watching the entire MCU history in the meantime. It just might be the last tie you can watch those movies without a heavy weight on your shoulders.
