Russell Brand Is ‘Hawkwood’

Russell Brand will star as real-life swashbuckler John Hawkwood in the action-comedy ‘Hawkwood’. John Hawkwood is described as, “a morally challenged but gifted swordsman paid to lead various European armies during the Renaissance wars.” Jared Stern will write the script, making it his second collaboration with Brand as he did the rewrite on ‘Arthur’.
