Weekend Box Office Report: July 30th – August 1st, 2010

Inception topped the office for the third straight week, bringing in $27.5 million. Opening at the #2 position, the Steve Carrell/Paul Rudd comedy Dinner for Schmucks brought in $23.3 million. Angelina Jolie’s Salt dropped to #3 in its second weekend with $19.3 million. Slipping a spot to #4 in its fourth week is Despicable Me with $15.5 million. Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore opened in the #5 spot with $12.5 million.
