Apple Orders ‘Lisey’s Story’ From Stephen King and J.J. Abrams

Lisey's Story

If you weren’t planning on getting Apple TV+, you just might have a reason to reconsider. Because the platform just picked up Lisey’s Story, which has Stephen King and J.J. Abrams behind it.

Bad Robot, Abrams production company, is producing. And the series will star Julianna Moore, who will also serve as an executive producer on the project which was given a straight-to-series order.

Here’s the official logline for the show:

LISEY’S STORY is a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey two years after the death of her husband. A series of events causes Lisey to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.

The series, which will be an eight-hour limited series, was just pick up today. And we do know that every episode of the series was personally penned by King. King, of course, also wrote the bestselling novel of the same name from which the series is based on.

The series is Apple’s third project from Bad Robot and Abrams, following additional straight-to-series orders for Little Voice and My Glory Was I Had Such Friends.

We’ll keep you posted as more details surface on this one, as we’re really looking forward to checking it out! Excited for Lisey’s Story? Sound off in our comment section below!
