See The Avengers Read ‘Twas The Mad Titan Thanos’
If you had to rate a film within the MCU’s history so far as the most emotional, Avengers: Infinity War would likely come in first place (for now). We laughed, we cried… we cried… and we cried. There was a lot riding on how the heroes fought against Thanos, and… well… we’re going into theaters later this month with tissues in hand.
Clearly… they didn’t win the last round.
Since we cried during the movie, it’s to be expected that kids who saw the film cried, too. In fact, my 7-year-old went to see the movie with me on opening night. When we all thought Thanos had killed Iron Man, my son shouted ‘You stupid Thanos I hate you!’.
Talk about breaking the tension. Those laughs heard around the theater ended up being pretty therapeutic for all of us.
Some kids still haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War, though, so the Avengers got together to read a little story about their battle with Thanos. Even if you have seen the film, you’re not going to want to miss this. The lines in the story are as good as the illustrations!
Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth got together to tell the story. In between lines of the book, they even threw in some commentary of their own. Most of which is sarcastic and incredible.
One particular part of the story that was emotionally taxing on the Avengers was when Thor didn’t go for Thanos’ head – and in turn – the big kill. Hemsworth quickly reminded everyone about Star-Lord’s bad choice. He let emotions rule his decision-making process, too.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, and if you’ve been waiting to see Avengers: Infinity War again because of all those tears – now’s the time to rewatch it.
