Stallone Talking ‘Expendables 2’

Tracking reports for this weekend’s ‘The Expendables’ are showing huge levels of interest among male filmgoers, and it may not be the last hurrah if the film does well. Sylvester Stallone said he’s ready to go on a sequel if he can get it financed.

“If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel,” he said. “I have an idea ready to go. People think doing a sequel is easy, but it’s not because you need the element of surprise. I’m going to try to do something that’s quite radical.”

The film is expected to open over $30 million, and if it performs well a sequel could definitely be an option.
