‘X-Men: First Class’ May Shoot In Georgia

‘X-Men: First Class’ could shoot in Georgia, specifically Tybee Island or Savannah. Savannah’s director of Tourism and Film Services, Jay Self, said that while plans have not been finalized, the film’s producers have started the paperwork to get filming permits. He added that the “very specific, very complicated” action sequences are being planned and that they’re “tied to the environment.”

Speculations are that Fox may have the location serve as Muir Island, homebase of Dr. Moira MacTaggert’s mutant research lab. Rose Byrne is set to play MacTaggert.
