Nicole Maines and Brad Michael Elmore Talk ‘Bit’

Writer/director Brad Michael Elmore and Supergirl’s Nicole Maines have managed to reinvigorate the vampire genre by injecting a sociopolitical twist on the mythic monsters. Bit, a tale of a runaway transwoman who encounters a group of ideologically strict lady vampires is no fluffy romantic romp with sparkles and six-pack abs. This is a power fantasy and an important step for representation in the horror genre. Check out our interview with Mr. Elmore and Ms. Maines below!

Bit will be at both Outfest in L.A. on the 26th and next month at Popcorn Frights in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!

Synopsis:

Laurel, a small town trans teen, heads to the City of Angels to find a new life.  Instead, she meets a gang of intersectional feminist vampires led by Duke (Diana Hopper, Amazon’s “Goliath”). Not knowing if they want to kill her, befriend her or turn her, Laurel learns to understand the love and dangers of her new group of friends
