Weekend Box Office Report: October 1st – 3rd, 2010

David Fincher’s movie about Facebook, The Social Network, opened at #1 at the box office this weekend with $23 million. The CGI-animated Legends of the Guardian: The Owls of Ga’Hoole held remarkably well, holding steady at #2 in its second weekend grossing $10.9 million.Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps dropped two spots to #3 in its second weekend, bringing in $10.1 million. The Town dropped a spot to #4 in its third week, with $10 million. Easy A moved down to #5, bringing in $7 million in its third week.
