Jackass 3-D won the box office this weekend bringing in a $50 million dollar opening weekend. The action-comedy Red opened in the #2 spot at the box office with a better-than-expected $22.5 million. The Social Network dropped to #3 in its third weekend grossing $11 million. The Diane Lane drama Secretariat dropped one spot to #4 bringing in $9.5 million in its second weekend. Life As We Know It fell three spots to #5 in its second weekend with $9.2 million.

2. Red – $22.5 million ($22.5 million total)
3. The Social Network – $11 million ($63.1 million total)
4. Secretariat – $9.5 million ($27.5 million total)
5. Life As We Know It – $9.2 million ($28.9 million total)
6. Legends of the Guardian: The Owls of Ga’Hoole – $4.2 million ($46.0 million total)
7. The Town – $4.0 million ($80.6 million total)
8. My Soul To Take – $3.2 million ($11.9 million total)
9. Easy A – $2.7 million ($52.3 million total)
10. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps – $2.4 million ($47.9 million total)
