Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, you more than likely know who Baby Yoda (or “The Child”) is or at least what he looks like. The Baby Yoda memes have been unavoidable on social media. And even if you aren’t an avid Star Wars fan – you’ve got to admit that Baby Yoda is pretty freaking cute and the memes are hilarious.
If you’re like us, then you probably want your own Baby Yoda. Maybe you already have the toys and Pop Vinyls pre-ordered, but you’re still looking for more memorabilia (because there is basically no merch coming out before May 2020). If this sounds like you, you’re in luck!
Company Sideshow Collectibles has a partnership with Legacy Effects and they are bringing us something we never knew we needed – a life size Baby Yoda figure. The figure will cost just $350 – which compared to the actual figure (that costs $5 million) that is used in production – that’s not too bad. They even offer a payment plan where you pay just $52.50 a month. The figure’s official title is “The Child Life-Size Figure”.
The figure isn’t out yet, but you can go ahead and start making your pre-orders. This one is worth the wait! And if the figure is as popular as the memes, you’ll want to get those orders in quick! The estimated arrival for your very own Baby Yoda is between August and October 2020 – just in time for Halloween – or maybe DragonCon 2020 if you’re lucky!
The Child Life-Size figure is based off Disney +’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian, which became a fan favorite overnight. In the show, the creature is referred to as The Child. But he quickly garnered the nickname “Baby Yoda” by the internet and fans across the globe.
The Details – Star Wars: The Mandalorian The Child life-size figure
The Child figure appears to be extremely detailed and perfectly hand-crafted. The life-size Baby Yoda measures at 16.5 inches tall and stands on a black podium. He wears a tan fabric coat and stares up at you with his big, dark, puppy-dog eyes. And if you look closely, the little one is also gripping a Mandalorian ship piece – the silver shift knob from the Razor Crest.
The Child is so life-like in every little aspect – we’re just in awe! The little hairs on top of his head, his giant ears, and his charming, wide eyes are just a few of the details they’ve put into the figure.
The figure is a limited-edition and will more than likely sell out before release. If you’re considering getting him, go ahead and get your order in! You don’t want to miss out on this amazing (and super cute) collectible.
We may have ordered one… we’d love to hear from you in our comment section below if we’re not alone!
