True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten is set to star as the lead in his first post-vampire big screen role. The role? Charles Manson.
That’s right fans. Ryan is set to play infamous serial killer and cult leader Charles Manson in the upcoming flick titled The Family. The genre has been confirmed as a ‘psychological drama’ [kudos to Kwanten for jumping into something more serious than a love story to kick-start his career; this will look great on his filmography].
While fans have mostly been paying attention to his amazing abs on True Blood [instead of his acting skills], it seems that critics are already weighing in on what a good choice of lead the film has chosen [good news for Ryan and fans].
Fanbolters and True Blood fans – weigh in on this one. Do you think the actor has what it takes to portray one of history’s most notorious killers? With all the Manson documentaries out there, the movie already has major pressure on it to impress; will Ryan help or hurt the film do that?
