Sam Smith Is Back on the Market
Sam Smith has split from his model beau Jonathan Zeizel, after a brief one-month fling.
The Grammy nominee revealed last month that he had started dating one of the extras from his latest video shoot for “Like I Can,” but admitted the relationship was in its “very early days”.
Smith went public with his budding romance after sharing images of the couple on vacation in Australia on Instagram.
However, during the singer’s tour stop in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday, Smith revealed during an interview that the romance has “kind of come to an end”.
Smith told local radio station KiSS 92.5, that the romance was never serious, and added, “I was seeing him and everyone made him out to be my boyfriend.”
During the concert, Smith continued to discuss the split before singing his track “Good Thing,” a song he wrote about having to break up with an ex-boyfriend.
He told fans, “This song is very special for me today, because I’ve actually had to do a very similar thing today… so bare with me.”
Following the gig, he took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself tucked in bed holding a full glass of wine, and added the caption, “Sometimes you just need to lay in bed with a glass of red wine and a football T shirt and listen to Joni Mitchell. It’s been a sad day. Beautiful show, but sad day.”
