I cannot wait to see it! The trailer looks great and as much as I like Kate Winslet, I love Jean Smart so anything with her in it I have to watch. Very intrigued with it for sure

I have heard some mixed things, but I’m also a fan of both Kate Winslet and Jean Smart. I can’t wait to see Mare of Easttown.

Kate Winslet’s character Mare Sheehan made some amazing basket in her high school basketball team. In all the trailers Mare always says it’s impressive for their small town. I’m curious if they’ll cover that in detail.

Ok, Paloma, any early thoughts? I hate to say it but I am mixed on this one as well. I really have high hopes though. The backstory I am afraid kept me engaged more so than that of Kate Winslet’s character Mare. Also, some things were somewhat formulaic in my opinion but I am still going to give it a try and keep watching.

I agree. I’m a big true crime drama fan, so I’m still engaged with the story. But I was not blown away by the pilot episode of Mare of Easttown. Mare does not automatically draw you in, but I’m curious why she is so depressed and uninspired.

Ok I am hooked on this show now! It has definitely turned around for me so cannot wait to see what happens in the upcoming episodes!

Me too!

That was quite the ending for the last episode!

I don’t know why I was thinking season finale of Mare, ha! Anyway, this show is getting better and better with each episode! A nail biter again tonight! Wow!
-
Yeah, there is one more episode of Mare of Easttown. The ending of the sixth episode was quite a panic-setting cliffhanger though the promo for the finale gave the answer of what happened a little bit.

Ok, well I am surprised-not surprised by the ‘whodunnit’ in the finale of ‘Mare of Easttown.’ I knew that the way the person they would have had us to believe killed Erin was just too ‘clean’ and ‘tidy’ to be the truth. Too many things did not make sense in the confession. But what a horrific ending when we find out who it really was. Very sad indeed. I have to say I went from not really being impressed with the season opener to really growing to love this show and the crazy characters. But man, what performance by Julianne Nicholson. I mean, I loved Kate Winslett and Jean Smart but in my opinion Julianne stole the show. Great drama!

I agree! All the actresses in Mare of Easttown are amazing. I suspected that Lori Ross was the murder but was not overly shocked it was their son. I knew it was not Billy though. I loved all the suspense in this miniseries.

Paloma, what am I going to do without Mare on Sunday nights! I am lost now and that is so funny because I did not even like the show to begin with. I heard that Kate Winslet said she would love to do another season so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I can’t wait for season 2! I was also lukewarm about Mare of Easttown at the start of the series, but now I love it.
