Happy (belated) Birthday! I remember finding FanBolt back in 2009. They were running a promotion with a DVD trading website called Goozex. Goozex has been gone for years now but FanBolt keeps going on. After I found this place I stuck around. Some of my most fun memories revolve around my fave hit shows. Burn Notice comes to mind first. I used to update weekly on it and follow anything at all about the case and the series. That was, and still is, my show (I am literally on season 5 of yet another rewatch). Around the same time, I was really into Leverage. Both of those were so fun and we had lots of discussions on both. Good times! Thanks Emma, for all the years of entertainment!

Have either of you read Dune or Death on the Nile? Both are available for home viewing now so it might be fun to read and then compare book to film! I’m sure there are other ones coming out that might be fun!

So, I see I messed up – it should read 2022 book club
Thanks, @JZ4USC for joining in! Any thoughts on how you want to start the year? I’m open. I just finished a book so ready to start a new one!

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Production is underway on season 15 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
The show’s official Instagram page shared two photos of Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, and Glenn Howerton on set announcing that season 15 production is underway.
The photos have since been deleted, but McElhenney posted a photo Monday night of episode titles from the first 14 seasons with the caption, “Wow. That’s a lot of TV. #season15.”

I would have to go with RUSH. For a 3-man band they bring so much sound and talent. Amazing musicians

I thought Burn Notice had a great ending. It comes full circle with the ending being him telling his nephew the story of what would be the entire series you just got through watching. Kind of hard to explain if you haven’t seen it
Worst ending (controversial) is Game of Thrones. Seriously. This is from somebody that has read the books twice it made no sense. They threw away so many story lines and started things that never played out. It drove me mad. I got rid of my blu-ray set when the series ended because I knew I would never watch it again

I guess WB came out and said they are only doing this through 2021 and not next year. Honestly, I am in favor of it. I don’t have HBO Max but I could see paying $12.99 for 1 month to see some movies I wanted to see being cheaper than going to the movies (especially if I had kids or something). I am more in favor of doing this but also releasing in theaters for those that want the “theater experience”

There are a lot of great instructional videos on YouTube for various instruments. I would look there. You can try several until you find one that just clicks in their teaching style

@john – Reba and The King of Queens are not bad shows. I still watch reruns of both of them

So, I just finished the book “Jaws” by Peter Benchley. Pretty interesting. Some changes that I really noted. In the book Hooper (the shark expert played by Richard Dreyfuss) is young and dashing and has an affair with the Chief’s wife. His story also ends a very different way. Quint still dies but in a different way more reminiscent of Moby Dick. Fairly short, about 300 pages. I was just curious about it and wanted to read to see the differences. Found it interesting.

I think the studios will have to change their business model with the times. They were already facing a big loss area with bootleg/pirated movies online so this actually might help to stop some of that hemorrhaging even though they won’t make as much at the actual box office. I just wonder how they will determine what is the #1 movie at the box office on any given weekend. Will they just go with physical theater sales only or try to factor in how many people watched on an app?

Outlander
Outlander is gearing up for Season 6. The hit drama has officially begun production on its latest season in Scotland. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Outlander had to push production on Season 6, which was originally set to begin in May 2020. Season 6 will premiere later than planned, but it’s likely we’ll see it sometime later this year or in early 2022. It wasn’t officially confirmed for filming until early February 2021, but it seems that filming has been going on for a little longer than that due to a fair amount of footage that has already been released. According to reports they are filming under strict safety precaution which include testing 3 times a week for the entire cast.

What We Do in the Shadows
It looks like Season 3 has started filming as of February 4th in Toronto! A post by Harvey Guillen (Guillermo) indicated as much. The cast had to arrive 2 weeks earlier for testing and quarantine and the long-awaited 3rd season is finally underway. With likely delays from filming during the outbreak the season will probably air in late 2021 or early 2022.
