Hey! So has anyone else responded about joining? I am sorry for the delayed response as I did not set my notifications! Anyway, I am good for any read as it will open me up to new genres. Perhaps we should identify our preferred favorite genres then we can pick something, alternating between each read?

I am down for it!

I definitely did not like it much as his other series but it still is pretty good entertainment.

Currently watching ‘The Guilty’ on Netflix.

I definitely want to see this new film as I did really enjoy the first one but I am no Downtown Abbey expert so dare to say what they have planned. I am sure it is going to be good though.

Was it always her own hair or do you think she had on a wig in different scenes?

I agree, Paloma. This series still sticks with me. Just awful for her and her family.

Well, John, I looked up the scene you are talking about and it was beautiful! I also listened to the Tom Traubert song and it was gorgeous also! Good picks!

Had a great experience interviewing Chuck Brown this week, one of the creators of the ‘Bitter Root’ comic series which has been optioned by Ryan Coogler, of ‘Black Panther’ fame, and will be directed by Regina King. Below is Chuck’s bio:
“Chuck Brown is the Eisner and Ringo award winning writer and co-creator of such books as The Punisher and Black Panther for Marvel, Rotten Apple for Dark Horse Comics, and BITTER ROOT for Image Comics. He has been self-publishing for more than 18 years and has also written comics for Zenescope Entertainment, 12-Gauge Comics, and Line Webtoon.”
He and I worked together many years ago and he is such a nice guy. His success could not have happened to a nicer person.

I am definitely down for watching this movie but really only for the performances.

I am watching another show about 9/11 and this one is amazing!

Ok, well I will say that while there were some good aspects of this series, for the most part it really felt very ‘soap operaish’ or like a long, bad Lifetime movie. It had some moments of overacting and unrealistic drama. Also, other than the sons I don’t think anyone else on this show had any redeeming qualities. I admit to being surprised by the ending and the ‘whodunnit’ but that is about the only think I liked about this drama.

Currently watching ‘Truth Be Told’ season 2 on Apple TV+. I love Octavia Spencer and so far this season is not disappointing.
