In Canada it was different in each province. Quebec had high numbers at the beginning followed by Ontario. Much of the country faired better, the northern territories had very few cases. In total Canada had just say of 108500 cases and 8798 deaths.

The Prime Minister and the Primiers each did daily briefings. Trudeau started doing them from the Prime Ministers house in Ottawa as his wife had been tested positive, so it follow self isolation he would do the briefings from his front step. The borders are closed to non essential travel. For a long time it was only essential travel aloud. If you had family in the US you could not even go to see them. Grocery stores started to open earlier for the elderly so that they could go when they’re read less people, but also close earlier now. Businesses limited the number of people inside, and then the public health department put a number to the type of business and size of building. Restaurants became take out and delivery only.

As things got better each province developed its own tiered reopening plan. As of this Friday coming Ontario will be entering stage 3. Stage 1 was allowing more people into businesses, and allowing more travel around the province. Stage 2 opened out door areas to the public, federal and provincial parks and campgrounds for day use only. Increased the number of people in a gathering from no more than 5 to 10. And allowed some other businesses to open, including nail salons… And then in Kingston a few salons caused an outbreak in the area, within the week we went in the area from having 61 confirmed cases from the beginning of everything and 0 active, to having 30 active cases within a week of testing. Now we are down to less than 10 and one salon is under investigation. Now that we are entering stage 3 we are going to have access to restaurants for dine in, gyms, and movie theatres. And the maximum number of people aloud inside is 50 and outside is 100. And some other restrictions have been lessened. Our border to the USA remains closed to non essential travel, but allows people to visit family on the other side. This was just extended until August 21. Masks in some jurisdictions of Ontario have been made mandatory, one had it as of June 10th, my area ss of June 27th, and since then other areas have made it mandatory. The Primier of Ontario said publically that he would not make it mandatory to wear a mask, but he left it up to the regional health department to make the call.

in reply to: What Is Your Favorite Film Of All Time?

Twilight was done well. Though the books were not really well written. I found that the movies were easily adapted from the books.

I have to say for me my favourite movies are the Harry Potter movies all of them including the Fantastic Beasts spin off. The Hobbit trilogy was really well done also.
