According to a report, Steven Spielberg is set to team up with writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Transformers) and writer/producer Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) to make a major TV franchise out of the comic series ‘Locke & Key’. The series is written by Joe Hill, son of legendary writer Stephen King.

The series tells the story of three kids who watch over a secret mansion in New England, full of mystical doors that send them into different worlds and grant them special powers. Dimension Films picked up the TV and film rights to the series in 2008.
