Heroes star Jack Coleman is the first returning actor to sign on for the upcoming reboot of the popular sci-fi series.

Coleman played mysterious Noah Bennett, father to Hayden Panettiere’s indestructible cheerleader character, on the U.S. TV drama and now he is poised to reprise his role in Heroes Reborn, according to Deadline.com.

The new 13-episode miniseries is a reboot of the show, and is set to replicate the program’s first season in which ordinary people discover they have superpowers.

The original Heroes was axed after four seasons in 2010 and also starred Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia.
