Stephen Hawking To Guest Star On ‘Big Bang Theory’

Stephen Hawking has filmed scenes for The Big Bang Theory. Hawking will have a run in with Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) in the episode, which is expected to air on April 5.

Hawking was approached before about an appearance, but was too ill to do so. He suffers from advanced motor neurone disease. Bill Prady, executive producer of the show, recently tweeted about a “super-secret, super-cool guest star for episode 521.”

Leonard Nimoy also filmed a cameo, as he’ll appear to Sheldon in a dream as Spock. Past guest stars from the geek world included Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Wil Wheaton, Katee Sackhoff and Summer Glau.
