Chris Pratt to Host ‘SNL’ Season Premiere

Star-Lord himself, Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) will host the 40th season premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live on September 27th. Musical guest Ariana Grande will join the comic actor on Sept. 27, making her show debut.

Pratt stars in the current #1 movie in the nation, Guardians of the Galaxy, while Grande’s My Everything album is currently No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The show made the announcement via Twitter status yesterday:

Comedienne Sarah Silverman will host the following week (October 4th) and musical guest Maroon 5 will perform in 30 Rock‘s famed Studio 8H.

Sarah and Maroon 5 are no strangers to the SNL stage. Silverman was a cast member in the ’93–’94 season, Adam Levine joined as guest host last year and the appearance will mark Maroon 5’s fifth time on the show.
