Amanda Bynes Accuses Father of Sexual Abuse
Amanda Bynes has accused her father of sexually abusing her as a child.
The troubled star, who was hospitalized for mental health treatment last year, took to Twitter on Friday morning and hit out at her dad Rick, alleging he acted inappropriately with her for years.
In a series of posts, she wrote, “My dad was verbally and physically abuse (sic) to me as a child… I need to tell the truth about my dad… He called me ugly as a child and then asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and i did not know how to respond and I said no and then I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare…
“My dad fondled himself in front of me so many times that i started recording him on my phone in hopes of catching him saying or doing something inappropriate around me so I could get him arrested & put in jail for the rest of his perverted life.”
She goes on to claim that her mother, Lynn, was aware of her husband’s alleged behavior and did nothing to stop it.
Bynes continued, “My mom knows that my father’s literally and physically incestual towards his own daughter and the fact that she never called the police on Him embarrasses me to no end”.
The 28-year-old concluded the damning post by claiming she is seeking a protective order to prevent her father from coming anywhere near her again.
She added, “So, today I am meeting with a lawyer to get a restraining order against my dad… I cannot hear the sound of His incestually charged voice ever again and I’m just being honest… I will not be manipulated or brainwashed by anyone anymore”.
Her Twitter rant comes amid reports suggesting Bynes’ concerned parents are planning an intervention to have her committed to a mental health facility in the New York area.
She learned of her mom and dad’s plans early on Friday and headed to New York’s LaGuardia Airport in a bid to flee the state and perhaps the country.
However, she was escorted out of the building after losing her temper and shouting at a ticket agent, according to TMZ.com.
Bynes returned to her adopted New York last week, shortly after she was arrested for DUI in California.
She has been hitting the headlines for her bizarre behavior in the Big Apple, where she reportedly lashed out at a fan during a night out on Tuesday and was accused of shoplifting from top department store Barneys New York on Wednesday. She denied attempting to steal a $200 hat and branded the incident a “misunderstanding”.
Her parents recently admitted they had had no idea of Bynes’ whereabouts since their conservatorship ended in early September. The couple took charge of their daughter’s affairs last year after a series of headline-grabbing legal and behavioral issues landed the actress in a psychiatric hospital.
Since her release, Bynes, who was living with her parents in California, has been able to keep herself out of trouble and the headlines – until her recent DUI arrest.
