Acting Camp!

Park reality at our gate and become – the greatest actor to “tread the boards” (at Pali)! Under the guidance of professional actors and directors, young actors learn how to act from moment-to-moment, be spontaneous, and find the characters objective as they develop their creative process.

Budding actors are taught to jump start their imaginations with improvisations and theater games to help them “think on their feet.” Future Oscar-winners will hone their acting techniques by working on monologues and learning how to play a motivation.
Our young stars also work on scenes, character analysis and theatre games. They learn the processes used by the master actors of theatre and film. By using a video camera to record their acting exercises and watching the playback, campers can “video study” their performances. Got a wacky voice? Campers are also taught voiceover for cartoons and commercials.

Ever wanted to audition for a role in a motion picture? Our campers can audition for a role in a movie made right here at Pali Studios, written and directed by campers attending the Film Institute. “I really liked my acting class. It gave me a lot more confidence,” enthused Cindy, age 13.

At the end of each two-week and four-week session you will audition for Hollywood agents looking to sign up new talent! They wll return home with a resume, professional headshots, and possibly even a movie contract!

Resting on 74-acres of picturesque mountain wilderness, Pali’s spectacular location is 90 minutes from Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange Counties.

Pali offers ten weeks of programming, divided into one, two and four week sessions, guaranteeing that at least one will fit into your busy summer schedule.

Is a 3-picture deal in your camper’s future? Have them come and find out.
