Halle Berry To Play Aretha Franklin

Halle Berry has been cast as Aretha Franklin in an upcoming biopic.

Aretha said, “Halle Berry is me for the older me and a younger actress has yet to be named.”

Franklin she has previously had offers for films about her life but has turned them down for not offering enough.

She said, “Yes for the last four years we’ve been talking about that and I’ve had a number of offers but unfortunately they were not good offers.”
