Weekend Box Office Report: ‘The Help’ Continues To Win Over Crowds

The Help stayed on top of the box office for the second week this weekend with a $14.3 million weekend. Colombiana performed the best out of three new releases this weekend, opening at #2 with $10.3 million. The Guillermo Del Toro-produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark opened at the #3 spot with $8.7 million. Rise of the Planet of the Apes dropped two spots grossing $8.7 million. Opening in the #5 spot was Paul Rudd’s Our Idiot Brother bringing in $6.6 million.
