The Muppets, Hugo and other new releases are hitting theaters just in time for Thanksgiving! We’ve got the full list of mid-week releases for you below!
A Dangerous Method (R), Drama – Seduced by the challenge of an impossible case, the driven Dr. Carl Jung takes the unbalanced yet beautiful Sabina Spielrein as his patient. Jung’s weapon is the method of his master, the renowned Sigmund Freud. Both men fall under Sabina’s spell. Stars Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley, and Viggo Mortensen.
Arthur Christmas (PG), Family – This Christmas movie highlights the technological advances of operations at the North Pole, revealing how Santa and his vast army of highly trained elves produce gifts and distribute them around the world in one night. Stars the voices of Hugh Laurie, James McAvoy, and Bill Nighy.
Hugo (PG), Family – An orphaned boy secretly lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station and looks after the clocks. He gets caught up in a mystery adventure when he attempts to repair a mechanical man. Stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Asa Butterfield and Chloe Moretz. Directed by Martin Scorsese.
My Week with Marilyn (R), Drama – In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl, the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier with Marilyn Monroe, who, whilst shooting, was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller. Stars Michelle Williams, Kenneth Branagh, and Emma Watson.
Rampart (R), Drama – The story centers on the widespread corruption in the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Division in the late 1990s of which more than 70 police officers were implicated in varied misconduct. Stars Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Muppets (PG), Family – The story revolves around The Muppets reuniting after a huge falling out to save The Muppet Studios in Hollywood. They have to put on a show in the Muppet Theater and get 10 million viewers to save the Studios from an evil Texas oil tycoon. Stars Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, and Rashida Jones.
