‘Sleepaway Camp’ Getting Reboot

Producer Jeff Katz has optioned the rights to the 1983 film Sleepaway Camp and is developing a reboot.

The original film was set apart from most slashers of the era by its twist ending, and then was followed by two sequels that were more horror-comedy in tone.

A fourth film was released directly to DVD while 2008 saw original writer/director Robert Hiltzik revisited the franchise with the STV Return to Sleepaway Camp. We will keep you posted as more details on the project surface!
