Mission: Impossible 5 Gets Release Date

Paramount Pictures has officially announced that Mission: Impossible 5 will be released on December 25, 2015. The sequel will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher), working from a script by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3).

The project is being produced by Tom Cruise through his Tom Cruise Productions banner, Paramount Pictures, and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. Skydance Productions are serving as co-financers and executive producers on the film and will be working closely with the production team through development and principal photography.

The December 25 opening puts the film one week after Star Wars: Episode VII.
