Warner Bros. Making ‘Gilligan’s Island’ Movie

Warner Bros. is moving forward with a big screen adaptation of Gilligan’s Island. Josh Gad (Frozen) has signed on for the lead role, and will also write the script with Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez. The studio has not confirmed which role Gad will play, but the feeling is that it will either be Gilligan or the Skipper.

Gilligan’s Island originally ran on CBS from 1964 through 1967, and produced 98 episodes about a band of unlikely castaways stranded on an uncharted island after a three-hour tour.

We’ll keep you posted as more details on Gilligan’s Island surfaces.

  1. God forbid they actually come up with an original idea. It’s all about the bottom line these days. I do not have high hopes for the quality of this adaptation.
