Downton Abbey - The Exhibition

Counting down the days until Downton Abbey: A New Era? (You’re not alone. We are too. March 18, 2022, it will be here before we know it!) But until then, the Downton Abbey: The Exhibition has arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, and it’s freaking awesome!

This Exhibition provides fans of the Emmy-winning worldwide hit television series an opportunity to join their favorite cast of characters on an incredible journey through history and culture as never presented before – And truly experience life at Downton Abbey.

Downton Abbey - The Exhibition

There’s nothing more magical for fans than a truly immersive experience allowing them to walk through their favorite series. And that’s exactly what Downton Abbey: The Exhibition is providing fans!

What fans can expect

Walk through the grand home of Downton Abbey, complete with never-before-seen elements and exclusive footage. Throughout the film set recreations, fans will get an inside look into the world of the Crawleys, as well as those who served them.

You can walk through The Great Hall, the Library, Mrs. Patmore’s Kitchen, The Dining Room, Mary’s Bedroom, and the Servants Hall. Take a look below!

And alongside the focus on the show, the exhibition is educational, offering a deeper look at all aspects of the post-Edwardian period in which the popular series and movie are set. Historical themes include the life, culture, fashion, and socioeconomics of the early 20th century.

The Downtown Abby Experience holds over 50 official costumes worn by favorite actors such as Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, and Dame Maggie Smith.

And the props from the show are met with cutting-edge technology, which is woven throughout the exhibition, with immersive projections, a magic mirror, and impressive thematic lighting and audio. Think The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (those really cool projections you see while waiting inline for a ride)- but on a smaller scale.

And the gift shop… save up you guys. This is hands down the best gift shop I’ve seen in a minute! They even have mugs that say “What is a weekend?” – one of the best quotes from Violet Crawley and from the series as a whole!

  1. This sounds amazing. I hate to admit it but I only got through part of the first season and did enjoy it. I did see the movie and loved that as well. My intentions are to watch the entire series. But I cannot wait to tell my brother about this exhibit as he is a fanatic over anything Downtown Abbey!
