Jake Gyllenhaal Gives Role Credit To Gwyneth Paltrow

Jake Gyllenhaal recently admitted that his role in Brokeback Mountain might have never happened if it weren’t for Gwyneth Paltrow.

“It was the experience of watching Gwyneth dressed as a young boy that immediately lead me to sign onto Brokeback Mountain.” Gyllenhaal says at at Elle’s Women in Hollywood fete this past Monday night.

Jake went on to talk about how beautiful the Oscar winner looked in Shakespeare In Love and also pointed out how much of a “very convincing fine-featured young boy” she was.

Gyllenhaal went on to say about Paltrow, “Bottom line, she’s not a mere mortal like the rest of us. She’s an internet savvy chicken cooking Academy Award winning octolingual something like that mother of two lifestyle guru… Thanks for making all of us look lazy.”

Well, if that’s the case, then Brokeback Mountain fans everwhere owe Paltrow a pat on the back for encouraging such an amazing performance by Gyllenhaal in the break-through hit film!
