Seinfeld’s Uncle Leo Len Lesser Dies At 88

Len Lesser, best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld’s beloved Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, has died at age 88.

The veteran character actor died on Wednesday in his home from pneumonia related to cancer. “Heaven got a great comedian and actor today,” Lesser’s daughter Michele said in a statement. “Thank you to all the people who helped make my father’s last journey special, and surrounded with love. The doctors, nurses, and staff have been outstanding, and Dad was in phenomenal hands. His passing was peaceful, with great dignity, and surrounded by those who loved him dearly.”

Lesser’s legend however, will live on. The actor has spent over 60 years in showbiz and performed impressive roles on some amazing shows including [but not limited to]: Green Acres, The Monkees, Get Smart, The Munsters, Mad About You and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Lesser is survived by his son David, daughter-in-law Julie and three grandchildren.
