Former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane has passed away. Lane was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel on Thursday evening. He was 47 years old. Lane’s body was found at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills. No official cause of death has yet been released.
Lane wrote and performed some of the hair metal band’s biggest hits, including “Cherry Pie,” before leaving the band to go solo. He had a history of alcohol issues, including a DUI in 2010.
