DMX Back In Jail

When will our most beloved rappers learn that long rap sheets are so 19-nevers.

DMX is behind bars in Maricopa County once again, this time on suspicion of drug use that violates his probation from his 2009 conviction on animal-cruelty, drug and identify-theft charges.

The rapper was sentenced to six months in jail this past March for a previous violation [though he only served a quarter of the time]. Hours after his release, he was cited for a vehicle-code infraction and driving with an invalid license, but wasn’t taken into custody.

Skip to current month, DMX was arrested this past Friday for allegedly using cocaine and Oxycontin, failing to show up for court-ordered drug tests and driving on a suspended license.

“Mr. Simmons is here today to fully cooperate with respect to any matters of the Court’s concern,” attorney Aja Southern said in a statement. “This is one of many steps towards rebuilding his image and rapport with the community and his loyal fans.”

Bad news for DMX [who is currently being held without bail], great news for his lawyer [who has practically made millions off the rapper through all his court cases].
