ABC Producing New Titanic Mini-Series


ABC has announced that they will produce a four hour mini-series based on the sinking of the Titanic. Academy Award winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park) wrote the series, which will air on ABC, Global TV, and ITV, will focus on the lives of different characters in various social standing as they attempt to survive the sinking in 1912.

Quinn Taylor, Senior VP of Movies, Mini-series and Acquisitions for ABC had the following to say about the new project: “The Titanic retained a powerful hold on people around the world for almost 100 years, and this new miniseries will offer a compelling take on this epic, tragic story. We look forward to bringing this remarkable series to our viewers.”

  1. I would definitely like to tune in. My husband is a Titanic fan too so anxious to hear when they will run the mini series. People have always been intrigued by the events. I’ll be looking for a update on air date for sure.

  2. Same here. My boyfriend LOVES Titanic, but he’ll be picking it apart for technical accurateness I’m sure. haha 🙂
