Disney Channel Orders ‘Girl Meets World’ For 2014

It’s official! Girl Meets World has been given the go ahead! The series has been picked up by the Disney Channel and is slated to premiere in 2014.

Girl Meets Worldwill be a multi-camera comedy that is set in New York City and tell the same lovable stories that Boy Meets World was known for back in the 90’s. Only this time around, it will be told from a girl’s perspective – Cory and Topanga’s 7th grade daughter Riley.

Executive producer Michael Jacobs released a statement saying , “Girl Meets World is a new show for a new generation that will be rooted in the same kind of honest, comedic storytelling about coming of age and the importance of family and friendship that made Boy Meets World so popular.”

We can’t wait to see Girl Meets World! We’ll definitely be watching! Will you?

  1. i am really excited about this. i loved the original series. i am still hoping that Will Friedle will make an appearance on the show at some point.

  2. It’ll be cool to watch and have it bring back memories, but it looks like more of a show for young girls, and that’s not my cup of tea.
