Selena Gomez Geeks Out Over Meeting Jennifer Aniston

Selena Gomez was left speechless after meeting her acting idol Jennifer Aniston at a Hollywood party on Friday.

The “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer attended a screening of Aniston’s new drama Cake, and had the privilege of meeting the star after the movie.

Gomez took to Instagram and posted a photo of herself alongside Aniston as they smiled and embraced each other.

She added the caption, “I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was eight and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie ‘Cake,’ I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year. #goseeit”

Gomez has previously revealed the inspiration behind her breakout role as a teen witch in Wizards of Waverly Place was Aniston, telling JustJared.com, “I always say that I worship Rachel McAdams as a movie actress but for comedy – the whole reason I started my show and mannerisms, they were after Jennifer Aniston.”

Friday’s meeting was not the first time Gomez has been in her idol’s presence – the singer also confessed that she ran away from Aniston during a chance encounter in 2009.

Gomez said, “I was shaking! I ran into Jennifer in the bathroom and she goes, ‘Hi!’ My legs started to shake and I ran. I didn’t know what to do because I freaked out.”

We love seeing celebs geek out when they meet one another because it reminds us all that they’re people just like us…who look better and have more money.
