Atlanta’s Plaza Theatre Will Screen ‘The Interview’
We’ve got some awesome news for ATLiens! The Plaza Theatre in Atlanta has announced that it will screen The Interview starting Christmas Day.
Executives at Sony Pictures axed The Interview‘s release after cyber criminals reportedly made threats against cinemas planning to show the movie, prompting a number of movie chains to drop it from their schedule.
The move came after hackers, believed to be linked to the North Korean regime, broke into the company’s databases and began leaking confidential information seemingly in retaliation to the movie’s plot, which features the assassination of the country’s leader Kim Jong-un.
It has now emerged that the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta is one of the few theaters who will move ahead with the film’s release on Christmas.
Breaking Plaza News:
The Interview will open Exclusive on 12/25 . The Plaza will be one of the few theaters in the nation to open the film .
