Weekend Box Office Report: July 16th – 18th, 2010
Inception hit the #1 spot at the box office in its opening weekend with $60.4 million. Slipping to #2 in its second week, Despicable Me brought in $32.7 million for a 42% drop. Opening in third place, Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel brought in a disappointing $17.4 million for the three-day weekend. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse slipped one spot to #4 with $13.5 million. Toy Story 3 went to #5 in its fifth weekend with $11.7 million.
