Top Celebrity Workout Tips
1. Kate Hudson
This actress loves exercise so much, she even launched her own range of workout gear; Fabletics. If you want to look as good as Kate does in her sports bras and leggings, behold this tip from her personal trainer, Nicole Stuart:
“We do Pilates for an hour, three times a week,” she told Shape.com. “If she’s prepping for something it will be more. We always combine cardio—like a mile run—before a Pilates class. On off days, she’ll meet me for yoga or a spin class.”
2. Jennifer Lopez
The amazing, age-defying J-Lo makes our jaws drop every time she shows off her body on the red carpet. So just how does the 46-year-old stay motivated?
“Sometimes when I get home and I’m not feeling so great, I make myself go to the gym,” she’s told Redbook. “Then I come home and take a shower, put on a great outfit, some makeup, tie my hair up, and I feel pepped up and great about myself.”
This Barbadian beauty is no stranger to posting sexy bikini pics on Instagram. And who can blame her? Rihanna’s attitude to dropping weight is simple, as she explained to Fabulous magazine:
“If I exercise every day for a week, I can drop several pounds. If I diet, I see even faster results.”
4. Jessica Alba
Even after giving birth to two kids, Jessica looks as hot as she did back in her Honey days (who could forget those abs?). Her top tips: getting sweaty and working out in groups.
“I have to break a sweat or I don’t feel like I’ve gotten anything done,” she told Shape magazine. “When I only have 30 minutes, I’ll do a series of burpees, mountain climbers, squat jumps, planks, and a few sun salutations. But I’m not going to lie. Working out sucks. Which is why I love taking classes, because I’m surrounded by other people and that keeps me motivated and accountable.”
5. Jada Pinkett Smith
We wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of this one – have you seen her guns?! She pairs an intense workout regime with getting real about food.
“We really have to understand our relationship with food,” she argued to People. “We talk about diet a lot, we talk about exercise a lot, but what we don’t talk about is our individual relationships with food. Food is the biggest obstacle for most of us to get to the body that we want.”
6. Gisele Bündchen
There’s a reason Gisele is Forbes’ top-earning model and one of them is her incredible body. In order to stay in shape, she practices kung fu with trainer Yao Li.
“The stance work and kicking techniques improve muscle tone and flexibility in the lower body. Blocking drills and hand techniques do the same for the upper body, especially the shoulders and arms,” he shared with Shape.com.
7. Michelle Rodriguez
This badass actress is known for getting Fast and Furious on screen and is a big fan of doing her own stunts. So how does she stay fit enough to keep up with the demands of Hollywood action movies? Just check out her Instagram! Michelle often posts clips of her workouts, which include hitting Tracy Anderson gyms.
8. Vanessa Hudgens
This trim actress relies on yoga, Pilates and spinning to stay in shape. She also recommends stripping off to your sports bra in gym class:
“I feel like the more naked you are in class, the more motivating it is to see what’s actually going on with your body,” she told Women’s Health.
9. Cameron Diaz
We defy you to find better abs than Cameron’s in Hollywood. For her trainer Teddy Bass, it’s all about the right mix of diet and exercise.
“I recommend eating every three to four hours. Breakfast is definitely the most important meal of the day, but have a light dinner since the lowest caloric loss takes place around that time,” he told InStyle.com.
10. Heidi Klum
As a model, it’s important for this German beauty to feel comfortable in her own skin. To achieve this, she doesn’t let herself off the hook, even in winter.
“I pretend it’s bikini season all year and regularly make healthy decisions,” she told Glamour.com. “My favourite workout is a long run along the Westside Highway, which stretches along the Hudson River in New York City… it’s a beautiful path, and you always feel surrounded by such an amazing community. You see the same people running every morning, and they inspire me to keep going.”
