‘The Batman’, ‘The Flash’, and ‘Shazam 2’ Get New Release Date Due to COVID-19

One of the many things COVID-19 has impacted is the entertainment industry. From concerts to films and television series’ – there’s a pause where everything from filming to releases is concerned. This has impacted some highly anticipated films across many genres.

From Wonder Woman 1984 and Mulan to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Black Widow, fans are waiting longer than anticipated to see these big releases, both in television and film. The reason for the wait is a good one, as production was halted as a safety measure. This doesn’t mean that the cast and crew, as well as fans, aren’t a little let down by the changes.

Good news comes when these films and television series get new ‘release’ dates. This happened today for a few big-name movies.

Three of the films affected by COVID-19 that got new release dates today are as follows: The Batman, The Flash, and Shazam 2. The Batman will now hit theaters on October 1, 2021. The Flash will debut on June 3, 2022. Shazam 2 will follow on November 4, 2022.

The Flash is actually being released sooner than anticipated, as it’s the original date for theaters was July 1st, 2022. We’ll take that as a bit of a silver lining.

We’ll keep you updated as more news about film and television releases and debuts happen.
