Angelina Jolie Says She Feels Late Mother’s Influence While Raising Her Kids

Angelina Jolie is convinced her late mother is watching over her as she raises her six children, because she can “feel her influence”.

The star was left devastated when actress/producer Marcheline Bertrand lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2007, but Jolie insists her mum’s presence is always prominent in her life, particularly when she’s with her biological girls.

She tells France’s Marie Claire magazine, “I can feel her influence over me then. I see that my way of raising them resembles the way she raised my brother and I.

“It’s more apparent with my daughters Shiloh and Vivienne. Therefore, yes, my mother is there, present in this influence, all the time… She was very soft but could move mountains for her kids. That’s something I always admire in women: that mix of softness and strength.”

Jolie shares six kids with her husband Brad Pitt – adopted children Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, and Zahara, nine, and biological offspring Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
