Controversial Nude Video Costs Erykah Badu A $500 Fine

Singer Erykah Badu has caused quite the controversy with the release of her most recent music video. The singer, who states that her video is about liberating herself from layers of inhibiting demons, is now finding herself distributing some of those layers from her wallet as well.

Badu, who recently stripped off all of her clothes and feigned being shot in the head in front of Dallas’s Dealey Plaza, where John F. Kennedy was assassinated, has been slapped with a disorderly conduct citation carrying a $500 fine.

“Window Seat”, filmed March 13, seemed to get no complaints from the local citizens about the video content itself at the time. However, after it’s online release, a woman with two children came forward to say that Badu disrobing herself in public eye was quite offensive to her.
