‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Is Fans’ Most Anticipated Film of 2015

The upcoming release of the new Star Wars film has topped film fans’ lists as the most anticipated film of 2015.

Director J.J. Abrams has been keeping plot details about Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens under wraps ahead of its December 2015
launch. It appears his secrecy tactics have only piqued movie devotees’ interest in the project, according to a new Fandango.com survey.

The Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, also looks set to be another hot ticket at movie theatres this year, placing second on the online poll, while The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, erotic thriller Fifty Shades of Grey and Jurassic World round out the top five.

Meanwhile, The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has been named the actress Fandango users are most excited to see in 2015, with her forthcoming releases Mockingjay – Part 2 and biopic Joy, just ahead of other fan favorites Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Angelina Jolie (By the Sea).

Johansson’s Avengers co-stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Hemsworth land in first and second place, respectively, on the Fan Favorite Actor in 2015 Movies list.
