TV Land Renews ‘Younger’ for Second Season

TV Land has renewed their new series Younger for a second season, the network announced today.

The dramady stars Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor and Nico Tortorella. It follows the life of Liza (Foster), a 40-year old woman who pretends to be 26 in order to get a job in the highly competitive world of publishing – and succeeds. Now working under the prickly Diana (Miriam Shor), Liza has to figure out how to balance her real life with bestie Maggie (Debi Mazar), and her “pretend” life with new friend and coworker Kelsey (Duff)…all while embarking on an exciting and somewhat confusing relationship with sexy tattoo artist Josh (Nico Tortorella).

Younger is the first step in TV Land’s evolution, and we are very proud to announce a second season,” said exec vice president of development and original programming for TV Land Keith Cox, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to continue working with Darren, and really eager to see where he takes this story and our amazing cast next.”

Series creator Darren Star added, “We couldn’t be more excited that audiences are discovering Younger and falling in love with our fabulous cast. I can’t wait to have everyone back in New York to shoot season two.”

Season 2 will consist of 12 episodes.

Younger‘s first season premiered on March 31st and the show’s season finale airs June 9.
