Tyler Perry Joins ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ Cast

Tyler Perry is taking his talents to the sewers! The producer, director, actor has joined the cast of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel as Baxter Stockman.

In the comics, Stockman is a sociopathic scientist responsible for creating Mousers, machines responsible for seeking and destroying sewer rats. In the TV series Shredder eventually took notice of the Mousers and replicated them, programming the new machines to seek out and destroy Splinter. Stockman became Shredder’s sidekick for a time. Between the comic and the TV series, there’s a lot of Stockman plot that could be used. We’ll have to wait and see which way they decide to go with it all.

Perry joins returning cast members Megan Fox and Will Arnett, along with newcomer Stephen Amell who joins the cast as hockey mask wearing vigilante Casey Jones.

The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grossed an impressive $485 million worldwide, so the sequel will undoubtedly be a huge success as well.

There’s no release date for the Michael Bay film as of yet.
